I grew up in Berkeley, California with my two younger sisters, and my mother and father, who were both born and raised in Japan. My parents each came to the U.S. in their early twenties, met each other, got married and started a Japanese restaurant in Berkeley. My sisters and I spent much of our childhood in Japan over the summers where we stayed with family. From 1st to 6th grade, our Saturdays were spent going to Japanese school in San Francisco instead of playing little league like other young kids. Although I may not have enjoyed it then, the ability to speak two languages is something I have grown to appreciate, as it continues to be an asset in both my personal and professional lives.
After graduating high school, I moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University, where I graduated with an International Economics degree, with a minor in Japanese. I have since stayed in beautiful San Diego, where I started my insurance agency in 2007. I am eager to grow my agency and learn as much as I can to help my clients along the way. My goal is to create lifelong relationships with my clients, and be available to help each of them with their specific individual or family needs. I have enjoyed working with both English and Japanese speaking clients, and look forward to meeting you and your family and providing you with personalized service to meet all of your insurance needs.
